Here at Emmanuel we run two different courses that help to create space for life’s big questions and introduce people to Jesus.
Hope Explored allows those who do not yet consider themselves followers of Jesus to think about the message of the Christian faith. Each session looks at an aspect of Jesus’ work: his life, death, and resurrection.
This three week course shows that Christianity is about real hope: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about the present.
Each session also explores one of the great longings we have: for hope, peace, and purpose.

Christianity Explored is an informal and relaxed seven week course. It’s for anyone who wants to think about the meaning of life and introduces people to Jesus as they look together at the Gospel of Mark.
It answers three big questions:
- Who is Jesus?
- Why did he come?
- What does it mean to follow him?
We normally run this course two or three times a year on a weekday evening and welcome anyone who is interested in finding out more about Jesus. If you would like to hear from us before the next course starts, please register your interest here.
